My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Valor is a sweetheart who always wants to be part of whatever you’re doing! She thrives on attention and loves being involved in daily activities. While she’s pretty indifferent to other dogs, she remains friendly and social—we do, however, require a meet and greet for potential canine companions.

Valor doesn’t pay much attention to cats and is generally calm and gentle around them. She isn’t a fan of spending too much time alone and prefers to have company, making her a wonderful companion for someone who’s often home. She’s easy to handle, docile, and affectionate, walking nicely on a leash and enjoying time outdoors roaming and exploring the yard.

The only thing Valor isn’t too fond of is bath time—but she’s still easy to bathe and always cooperative. Overall, Valor is a loving, gentle pup who will do best in a home where she can soak up plenty of attention and companionship.

More about this shelter

New Hope Animal Shelter is a 501(c)(3) private nonprofit organization servicing Volusia County Florida since 1955.
Our policy is no-kill. We will NOT euthanize an animal to make room or to reduce pet overpopulation. “adoptable” means an animal is healthy and well-adjusted, not ill or injured, and can be safely made available to the public for adoption. We reserve the right to refuse admission due to space availability, or if the animal is dangerous, in poor health, or otherwise deemed un-adoptable.
