Avett is a 3 year old, male, Border Collie/Heeler mix surrendered to rescue when owner was "unable to support his needs". Owner reportsthey bought Avett as a puppy & he was free to roam in the home with children and other animals with no issues except for "jumping" sometimes. He has been friendly and cooperative with all the volunteers at the rescue. He loves running and playing in the big fenced yard and is working on his leash skills. He participates is several different play groups at the rescue & has done well with the other dogs. Avett is a bit over weight so we are providing a healthy diet and regular exercise to improve his quality of life which we hope will continue with his new family. Submit Application

All pets adopted from Tri-County Animal Rescue Center will have received a vet wellness examination, de-wormer, and vaccinations.

2.
Approve Application

If adopting a cat/kitten you must agree to not have it declawed. If living in a rental property, we must get permission from the landlord.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our dog adoption fee is $125 and we require either a spay/neuter deposit of $50 or a certificate for spay/neuter at our vet may be purchased for $100 (unless already spayed/neutered which would change the adoption fee) if the option of the $50 deposit is chosen, it will be returned after proof of the surgery.
Our cat adoption fee is $75 for kittens and $35 for adult cats. The cat adoption fee includes spay or neuter costs. All cats and dogs receive a wellness check and are current on all vaccinations appropriate for their age.

The adoption process includes filling out an adoption application and providing references. Any current pets in the household must be spayed or neutered (unless not recommended by a veterinarian for health reasons) and current on vaccinations. If adopting a cat/kitten you must agree to not have it declawed.
If living in a rental property, we must obtain permission from the landlord before an adoption can be approved. The dog or cat will be placed with the potential adopter that best matches the needs of the animal.
