🐼 Meet Panda! 🐼

Panda is a 1-year-old American Pitbull mix with a smaller frame, making him the perfect “fun-sized” companion. 🐾 He may have started life as a scared stray, but since joining rescue in August 2025, this happy-go-lucky boy has completely blossomed. Now he’s all about tail wags, playtime, and soaking up every bit of love he can get. 💕

True to his name, Panda has the most striking black-and-white coat and the sweetest, most expressive face — he looks like he’s always smiling! 😍 He’s incredibly charming, smart, and playful, making him both entertaining and affectionate. Whether it’s zooming around the yard, playing with dog friends, or snuggling up for some people time, Panda does it all with joy.

He’s dog-friendly 🐶, has not been around cats but shows no prey-drive behavior and should be just fine with them 🐱, and he’s also great with kids. Panda is the total package — handsome, lovable, and full of personality. And the best part? He’ll be fully vetted prior to adoption, so he’ll be ready to start his new life with his forever family right away. 🏡

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Adoption applications are the first step to meeting a dog in our rescue. You must be approved prior to meeting a dog.

2.
Approve Application

Our rescue reviews the application for approval to adopt from our rescue.

3.
Interview

Our rescue reaches out to discuss any questions on the application and explain the process.

4.
Meet the Pet

We will set up a meet and greet with the dog at this point.

5.
Home Check

If the meet and greet goes well, a home check is done either virtually or in person.

6.
Pay Fee

The adoption fee is paid at this point. Transport fee of up to $200 applies to areas if more than a 2-hour drive dependent on the distance.

7.
Sign Adoption Contract

The adoption contract is signed once the fee is paid and then you take the dog home.

Journey's Legacy is a small rescue in Cleveland, TN. We save dogs from the local shelter, off the streets, and occasionally owner surrenders if there is room or an urgent need. We have dogs in foster homes, boarding facilities, and the ranch. We specialize in medium to large breed dogs. We are working hard to get laws to change to require pet owners to spay and neuter their pets to stop the overpopulation of animals.
