My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Merge. I’m the fluff-filled fever dream you didn’t know you needed—equal parts velvet, mischief, and dramatic flair. My bedtime routine rivals a telenovela: slow-motion stretches, soulful stares, and a nightly demand for snuggle fort access like I’m making a grand entrance at a gala.  Other cats? Meh. I don’t mind them, but I’m not hosting a mixer. I’m more of a solo act with occasional background dancers. I prefer my humans front and center—ready to lift the blanket on cue, distribute snacks with reverence, and admire me in flattering lighting.  I nurse like a baby, zoom like I’ve got squirrel ancestry, and stare like I’m reading your diary. I’m not just a cat—I’m a curated experience. One moment I’m curled in your armpit like a warm croissant, the next I’m perched like a gargoyle, contemplating the mysteries of the lint roller.  I won’t ghost you or play hard to get—I’m more of a “surprise, I live here now” kind of girl. If you’re ready to embrace the merger of sass, snuggles, and mild household reorganization, I’m ready to take over your throw pillows and your heart.

Go meet their pets

We will be holding adoption event days with PetSmart on Ft Jackson Blvd and Two Notch Rd as well as PetSense on Garners Ferry Rd. These are partnerships that we've initiated and that have been greeted with open arms by these great organizations. MUCH More to Come!

More about this rescue

At Cat Around Town Project, we believe that by spaying and neutering as many stray and colony cats as possible, we are proactively controlling overpopulation at its source. All kittens and any cats that are adoptable are removed from the colonies and adopted to suitable homes. One day, when the supply meets the demand, there will be a home waiting for every kitten in our community. .
