From the foster: ***If you would like to meet Bo, please sign up for the event or email us at info@coloradopuppy.org; Bo will stay home from events if no one has indicated interest in meeting him.***
Hi, my name is Bo.
I love my family. I want to play with them, sleep with them, go for walks with them, and generally like to be with them ALL of the time.
I love little kids, well, pretty much all kids.
I do tend to be especially protective of my family, and it takes me some time to get used to new people and strangers.
I am super eager to please my family. I might not understand what I am being asked all the time, but when I do understand, I am happy to do what I am asked.
I enjoy treats and will gladly perform tricks I know for treats.
I love shredding stuffed toys and destroying squeakers from inside of toys.
I love running in the backyard and barking at those squirrel invaders.
I generally miss my family when they go to work, and I wait until they get home to eat my food. Even though I can get lonely, I am very respectful of my house. I only go potty outside and I like to snuggle on a comfy rug, my bed, or the couch while I wait for my family to come home.
I like sleeping in the big bed with my family. I also like sleeping in, but I will drag myself out of bed for potty in the morning when I'm asked.
I am a pretty smart guy, I will figure out where all the food and treats are stored. I need my treats to be kept behind a closed door, otherwise I can and will help myself.
I don't like other dogs or crates. When I was younger, I learned that other dogs weren't safe and crates were bad places.
The best forever home for me is with a family who doesn't have other pets, has kids to play with me and has a family who can take me for walks.
[History: Bo was adopted from CPR at about 4-5 months old. There were two other dogs in his home, one he got along great with and one he didn't get along with. He was surrendered at 3 years old after keeping him and the dog he didn't get along with was becoming too much. Bo does have a clear, negative association with crates, and it's unknown if it stems from needing to be separated, but he does okay in a larger enclosure if it's necessary.]
