From the foster: ***If you would like to meet Bo, please sign up for the event or email us at info@coloradopuppy.org; Bo will stay home from events if no one has indicated interest in meeting him.***

Have you always wanted a dog, but you really don’t like mornings? Meet Bo! This 80lb happy boy has yet to meet a morning he likes. This gentleman will happily sleep from 8pm until almost 11am everyday- he doesn’t even need a bathroom break. Of course if he must wake up he will drag himself, often literally, out of bed. Bo isn’t a fan of crates, but he is happy with a dog bed and a couch. He causes no destruction around the home and has even gotten a 5 star review from an Airbnb. Bo loves taking a shorter walk once per day. He tops out around a leisurely 25 minute mile, maybe 1.5 miles if he’s feeling extra. He’ll zoom around the backyard in the afternoon if he needs more exercise with bit of encouragement for a whopping 4–5 minutes max. Bo loves car rides. He’s happily ridden in the car for several hours and also for quick trips and loves looking out the window. Bo doesn’t love other dogs. He does well with fence friends, dogs that are in their own houses while we walk by, and dogs when he’s in the car, but he does not like walking towards another dog. We change direction if we see another dog heading towards us before Bo can see the dog. If you're ready to meet a new friend request to meet Bo!

[History: Bo was adopted from CPR at about 4-5 months old. There were two other dogs in his home, one he got along great with and one he didn't get along with. He was surrendered at 3 years old after keeping him and the dog he didn't get along with was becoming too much. Bo does have a clear, negative association with crates, and it's unknown if it stems from needing to be separated, but he does okay in a larger enclosure if it's necessary.]

More about this rescue

Colorado Puppy Rescue is a 501(c)3 no-kill rescue for young puppies. We accept puppies from kill-shelters in southern CO, NM,TX, OK and KS. Most of our puppies are mixed mutts under 12 weeks old, some are as old as 6 months. We do not have a shelter. All of our puppies stay in foster homes so the only time they are available for adoption is at our adoption events. We average 20 puppies a week and update our website with available puppies Friday afternoons.
