My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jake – Male Pug

Birthday: 9/02/2020
Weight: 13 pounds
Health: Healthy, fully vaccinated, and neutered

Personality:
Jake may be small in size, but he’s packed full of charm and spunk! He’s playful, curious, and has a goofy streak that will keep you smiling every day. When he’s not entertaining you with his silly antics, Jake is just as happy snuggling by your side. He’s the perfect mix of fun-loving and affectionate.

Breed Info:
Pugs are known for their loving, clown-like personalities and strong bonds with their families. They’re adaptable, loyal, and thrive in homes where they can be included in daily life.

Owner Responsibilities:
Jake will need daily walks, quality playtime, and lots of affection. Like all Pugs, he does best with moderate exercise and plenty of time indoors with his people.

Things to Consider:
Pugs are a brachycephalic breed (short-nosed), which means they can be sensitive to heat and may snore or snort. Families should keep him cool in hot weather and always make his comfort a priority.

3-3-3 Rule:
Rescue dogs need time to adjust! Expect about 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn your routine, and 3 months to fully settle in and feel at home. Jake will blossom with patience and love.

Vet Care:
Even though Jake is coming to you healthy, it’s important to visit your own vet soon after adoption to establish ongoing care.

Commitment for Life:
Jake isn’t just looking for a home—he’s looking for a forever family. Adopting him means promising to love and care for him for all his years.

Why He’s a Great Addition:
Jake’s spunky spirit and affectionate heart make him the best of both worlds. He’ll bring joy, laughter, and unconditional love into your life, making every day brighter.

More about this rescue

We are dedicated to saving dogs from high kill shelters, strays, owner surrenders and hoarders. We have been saving animals since December 2016. We hold weekly adoption events at various pet stores and pet expos. We hire dog walkers to walk our dogs and we have volunteers who help us weekly. Many of our dogs go to boarding and training to become adoptable and work on their behavioral issues. All our dogs are assessed to find a great family match.

All dogs receive all necessary medical attention and all dogs are vetted.
