My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sage – A Sweet & Relaxed Pug Looking for Her Forever Home!

  • Breed: Pug

  • Birthday: 10/04/2020

  • Weight: 13 pounds

  • Health: Healthy, vaccinated, and spayed

✨ Personality:
Sage is a calm and gentle little soul who enjoys the simple pleasures in life — a cozy blanket, soft belly rubs, and being near her people. She has a relaxed personality and loves spending her days in comfort. While she’s not overly demanding, she is happiest when she’s part of the family, included in your routines, and given the love she deserves.

Breed Info:
Pugs are a small companion breed known for their affectionate nature, charming personalities, and adorable little faces. Typically weighing 14–18 pounds, Pugs are people-oriented dogs who thrive on human companionship. They do well in apartments or houses, as long as they have attention, short walks, and plenty of cuddle time.

‍‍ Owner Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily walks, play, and companionship

  • Monitor her health and weight, as Pugs can be prone to breathing issues and obesity

  • Ensure regular vet visits and preventive care

  • Provide love, patience, and a safe home environment

⚠️ Things to Consider:

  • Pugs can be prone to allergies, breathing difficulties, and eye sensitivity — regular checkups are important

  • She should live indoors as part of the family

  • Landlords may have pet restrictions — always check before adopting

  • Financial responsibilities include food, vet care, and ongoing supplies

⏳ 3-3-3 Rule:
Remember, it may take Sage 3 days to feel safe, 3 weeks to learn your routine, and 3 months to fully feel at home. Patience, structure, and love are key during her adjustment period.

Vet Care:
Even though Sage is healthy, vaccinated, and spayed, it’s important to take her to your own vet soon after adoption to establish care and make sure she stays happy and healthy.

Commitment for Life:
Sage is not just a pet — she is family. She deserves a home where she’ll be cherished, cared for, and loved for the rest of her life.

Why Sage Will Be a Great Addition:
If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, and easygoing companion, Sage is your girl. Her calm presence will bring warmth to your home, and her loving nature will make her an instant part of the family. She’s the perfect little dog to curl up with after a long day and will reward her forever family with loyalty, joy, and endless cuddles.

More about this rescue

We are dedicated to saving dogs from high kill shelters, strays, owner surrenders and hoarders. We have been saving animals since December 2016. We hold weekly adoption events at various pet stores and pet expos. We hire dog walkers to walk our dogs and we have volunteers who help us weekly. Many of our dogs go to boarding and training to become adoptable and work on their behavioral issues. All our dogs are assessed to find a great family match.

All dogs receive all necessary medical attention and all dogs are vetted.
