Sex/Age/Weight: Male/ estimated DOB 02/2019 / 22 lbs
Vetting: Fully vetted, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is receiving flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention monthly.
House trained/Crate Trained: He does very well left loose in the house. He is excellent in a crate, sometimes he just doesn't want to go in. He has slept in a crate, and has been loose in the house with no issues. Winston uses a dog door with no problem.
Dogs/Cats/Children: Winston was raised with his sibling, Remy. They were both previous shelter dogs. Winston can be standoffish with the bigger dogs. He tends to growl at them but doesn't bite, he just wants them to leave him alone. Good with smaller dogs, He needs a proper introduction. When he lived with previous owner they had cats he was good with them.
Energy Level: Basically he is low energy– Winston will run and play but it doesn't last long. If snuggling was a sport he would win hands down.
Before FAR/My History: Winston and his sibling Remy both came from the shelter.
Training Status/Commands I know: I know my name and respond and come when called.
Things that make my humans happy: Snuggling with my foster mom!

In the application, you can specify a particular dog in which you are interested, or let us know what type of pet in which you are looking, so we can find the perfect animal to fit your family and your needs. Once the application is received, a board member will review the application, and make contact with the potential adopter within 48 hours. This initial contact may include further questions/more information, or may include scheduling a meet and greet for you to meet the animal in which you are interested! Once the application is approved or the meet and greet goes well, then the adoption can be finalized. To finalize the adoption, an adoption agreement must be completed, the adoption fee paid (we accept cash, paypal, or credit/debit card), and then the potential adopter can take their new family member home with them or schedule pick up of their furry family member! The adoption fee varies based on the dog or puppy you are interested in. Some of the adoption fees have been listed on the individual dog's description but if you do not see one then please reach out and we would be happy to talk to you about it! Furever After Rescue, a 501(c)(3) organization, is a no-kill, foster-based rescue devoted to finding homes for animals needing a loving home. Most of our animals come from local, high-kill shelters with some occasionally coming from bad situations and owner surrender. Our animals are immediately placed in foster homes where they learn love and are taught how to live in a home environment. All of our animals are up-to-date on their age-appropriate vetting needs and are tested for personality traits as best as possible. We have many wonderful pets looking for forever homes!
