Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jake is a 1 year 2 month old 70 pound Poodle mix. He is mixed with Labrador Retriever. Jake is great with other dogs, athletic, active, and affectionate.
He walks well on leash with a some pulling (his foster home has acreage, so he is usually off leash), he loves the. car, swimming, he is house trained and crate trained. Jake has gone camping, he loves swimming , running free, and he settles well in his crate.
Jake is fostered in Hood River, OR. His foster parents are willing to meet part way if you come from afar.
He gets along with men, women, kids, dogs, chickens, and cats.
He is neutered, vaccinated, including Bordatella, de-wormed, micro-chipped and on flea/tick prevention. His adoption fee is $400.
He will be seeking a home where he will continue to have fun outdoor experiences, and will have another, ideally, playful dog.
His foster mom says that her favorite things about Jake are his very human-like soulful brown eyes, and that he is so smart!
A great home and must haves for Jake include;
1. An owned home with a securely fenced full sized yard, or acreage.
2. Adopters who are active and will include Jake in their fun activities.
3. A home with another playful dog.
3. Folks who offer good nutrition, vet care and know and can pay the cost of grooming.
4. People who treat their pups as family members.
If you meet all above criteria, and you are available to adopt a dog now, don't let this well trained handsome guy get away!
Please complete an application. Applications that are thoroughly completed, meet all criteria and we think seem a potential great match will receive prompt reply.
We cannot accept inquiries via phone as rescue is extremely busy and all volunteer. We will call you promptly in response to a complete application that meets criteria and that we believe is a good match.
Non-cigarette smoking homes only, please.
Thank you!

Additional adoption info
I rehabilitate, train, and foster dogs for whatever length of time I believe makes them most ready for a successful forever adoption. I check in with adopters the day after adoption, and then again several days later. I am in contact with the majority of my adopters forever.

Go meet their pets
Our foster dogs are with us: at home, at the park, at the beach, on hiking, canoe camping and backpacking trips. If we run into you and you are friendly, no doubt you will meet and hear about our pups!
