My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you're looking for a dog who brings energy, joy, and a whole lot of love, Frank might just be your perfect match! This happy-go-lucky guy is full of life and always ready to go—whether it’s chasing toys, exploring the outdoors, or splashing in the water (swimming is his absolute favorite!).

Frank is curious, clever, and always up for a challenge. He’s the kind of dog who thrives with enrichment and play, making him a great fit for an active home that can keep his sharp mind and busy paws engaged. Despite his high energy, Frank also has a sweet and cuddly side—he’ll happily settle in for snuggles after a day of fun.

With his goofy charm and bubbly personality, Frank is sure to make you smile. He travels well, learns quickly, and is eager to be your loyal sidekick on all of life’s adventures. Come meet Frank and see if he’s the one you’ve been waiting for!

More about this shelter

More than 95 years of lifesaving efforts invested into our community. SoHumane provides quality care for dogs and cats while working to make a difference in the pet overpopulation problem. Annually, SoHumane serves approximately 1,600 companion animals. In 2022 we successfully adopted out 1,275 animals, and saved 427 animals from euthanasia at other shelters through our Saving Train program.

SoHumane is a registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to the humane treatment of companion animals. Mae Richardson founded the Humane Society of Jackson County in 1928 as an all-volunteer organization that initially provided services for displaced dogs and horses.
