Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Current Location: Brooklyn Park, MD
💜Looking for a big chunky pup full of snuggles and endless love? Meet Blair!💜
Blair is a playful, goofy, and loving pup who knows how to command a room with her presence.
She’s got balanced energy - always ready to play, go on walks, and explore - but she then settles down effortlessly with a toy or bone when it’s chill time.
TRAINING AND BEHAVIOR
Blair is fully crate trained and house trained. She has excellent recall, and is learning to navigate boundaries with other dogs and people. Blair is also very food motivated, making her eager to learn. She has shown great progress and improvement since her arrival, and responds super well to training.
SOCIAL LIFE
She has met and done well with kids, other dogs, cats, and new people. Blair is still working on practicing good manners when she's very excited, so despite loving cats and young kids- she isn't a good fit for living with them at this time.
While she loves social interaction, Blair values her space/belongings with other dogs and communicates clearly when she needs it, so she does best living as the only dog in the home.
ENERGY/PERSONALITY
Blair is mostly laidback, extremely loyal, and absolutely loves attention. She has small bursts of energy that are easily curbed by her favorite fun activities- tug of war, fetch, hikes, etc.
SPECIAL TRAITS
With her gorgeous coat, striking eyes, and confident personality, Blair is not just a dog - she’s a loyal showstopper. She’s affectionate, attentive, and has a playful spark that can brighten any home. She gives the best snuggles and is a very sweet girl.
BEST HOME FIT
Blair will thrive in a home that gives her the attention she craves. She could do well in a range of calm home environments that allow her to be an only dog. Blair thrives on human companionship and absolutely adores snuggling, so if you are looking for a big sweet snuggle bug- she's your girl!
She is still learning manners and will benefit from structure and guidance (and some additional fun training to flex how smart she is!)
VETERINARY CARE
Blair is up to date on vaccinations for her age, spayed, microchipped, and receiving heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives along with routine parasite treatments

More about this rescue
Operation Paws for Homes, Inc. rescues dogs of all breeds and ages from high-kill shelters reducing the numbers being euthanized daily. We provide foster homes where they can get the love and attention needed before finding their forever homes. Our organization provides pet adoption services in Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, and parts of Southern Pennsylvania. Operation Paws for Homes, a 501(c)(3) organization, is 100% donor funded and could not save these dogs and fulfill their dreams of being united with their forever families, without the dedication of our incredible adopters, fosters, donors and volunteers. Sadly, without our help, all of these adoptable animals would face almost certain euthanasia - usually within days or hours of arriving at the shelter. Each year we take in hundreds of wonderful animals who were left at shelters by no fault of their own.
