My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FOREVER FOSTER or ADOPTER WANTED! Halls is simply a sweetheart. He is initially quite a shy dog and may require a few days to get comfortable, but once he feels safe, he just blossoms into a very sweet and gentle cuddly boy. A large portion of his day is spent relaxing and sleeping in his bed or next to you. He loves his meal times and he is very treat motivated, which makes for a great way to train him for exercises like engage/disengage! He loves his food so much that unfortunately, he does not share well. If there are other dogs in the household, he should definitely be fed separately. Ideally, Halls would enjoy being the only dog in the household. Outside of mealtime though, he plays very well with dogs that visit or on walks. He is a curious boy that wants to play but respects space and is gentle. He gets quite a few kisses from the neighborhood dogs! He enjoys his walks and may even occasionally plop down in the middle of a walk to sunbathe and roll around in the grass. He also enjoys simply sunbathing in a side yard. Once he trusts you, he is very open to handling for medical purposes. We have no problem cleaning his ears, applying eye ointments and brushing his teeth!. He does just fine being at home alone, we have discovered that he normally just moves between different sleeping spots. And let us not forget his occasional zoomies! He is quite spry and springy for a dog his size. Halls is not a dog of many needs, it seems as if he just wants a safe space to rest his head, have a few people to love and cuddle with, eat yummy food and explore the world around him.Fill out an adoption application directly on our website at www.lionelslegacy.org
