My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

### 🌞 Meet Maisie: The Nap Queen With a Heart of Gold

📍 Soaking up sun and cuddles in Southern California

At around 10 years young and 48 pounds, **Maisie** is a mellow sweetheart who’s perfected the good life: two zoomies a day, mealtime dance parties, and sunny strolls to greet the neighbors. Her ideal day? A hammock, a soft breeze, and a cozy spot beside her favorite human.

Maisie is:

* 🥣 A low-maintenance foodie (she happily takes her meds with meals)
* 🐾 A gentle “leaner” who'll rest her head on your leg, lap, or hand for scritches
* 🌿 A grass-sniffing connoisseur
* 😌 Drama-free, easygoing, and endlessly endearing

She’s not asking for much — just a soft bed, kind company, and maybe a furry friend to nap beside. In return, you’ll get soulful gazes, quiet companionship, and the occasional kitchen boogie.

If you're looking for a laid-back lovebug to join you in life’s slower, sweeter moments — **Maisie’s your girl**.

👉 Come meet Maisie — the best thing that’ll ever lean on you.

Go meet their pets

All of our dogs are staying in foster homes throughout our service area in the following counties: Los Angeles and San Diego. Once it is determined that the dog you are looking for is a match, arrangements are made to visit the dog either at the foster's home or at a mutually agreed place.

More about this rescue

The primary mission of our organization is to rescue and re-home Retrievers (Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers, Flat Coated Retrievers, Curly Coated Retrievers, Duck Tolling Retrievers, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and Retriever mixes) and find new, loving homes for them. We will take the very young to the very old, the very sick to the unwanted. Every dog is an individual and will be placed in homes that meet their needs and where their individuality can thrive. We are an all volunteer run organization Newly formed at end of year 2019. Our founders have 20 years rescue experience. We are a foster based organization and need foster homes so we can rescue more dog. Donations are greatly appreciated!
