My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Meet Lexi 💕**

Lexi is a sweet, soulful girl who is estimated to be around 2 years old—though she could easily be a bit younger. From the moment you meet her, it’s clear that she’s craving affection, reassurance, and a place where she truly belongs. She loves being close to her people and is happiest either curled up in your lap or right by your side.

Lexi has clearly had some training and is eager to please. She responds to her name, knows cues like *“leave it,”* walks nicely on leash, and has excellent car manners. She’s gentle, attentive, and very tuned in to her humans.

While Lexi is still learning how to play with other dogs, she truly wants to join in. With time, patience, and positive exposure, she’s expected to gain confidence and learn the ropes from her foster siblings. Her heart is wide open—she just wants to be accepted and loved.

Lexi would do best in a calm, loving home where she can continue to build confidence and soak up all the affection she’s been missing. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to be your best friend, Lexi may be the perfect match.

Go meet their pets

All of our dogs are staying in foster homes throughout our service area in the following counties: Los Angeles and San Diego. Once it is determined that the dog you are looking for is a match, arrangements are made to visit the dog either at the foster's home or at a mutually agreed place.

More about this rescue

The primary mission of our organization is to rescue and re-home Retrievers (Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers, Flat Coated Retrievers, Curly Coated Retrievers, Duck Tolling Retrievers, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and Retriever mixes) and find new, loving homes for them. We will take the very young to the very old, the very sick to the unwanted. Every dog is an individual and will be placed in homes that meet their needs and where their individuality can thrive. We are an all volunteer run organization Newly formed at end of year 2019. Our founders have 20 years rescue experience. We are a foster based organization and need foster homes so we can rescue more dog. Donations are greatly appreciated!
