This gorgeous boy doesn’t know a stranger and is just so happy to meet each and every single person and dog who comes his way. Happy go lucky should absolutely be his middle name. His enthusiasm for life is infectious and his exuberance is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Can you believe he sat at a small rural shelter for months with no interest?!?!

Buster was picked up by animal control in May of this year in the small city of Wasco. Wasco is a farming community and their local shelter is tiny but they do their very best to give each dog a chance to be adopted. Buster lingered for 4 months. No rescue interest and no one willing to adopt eventually put this good boy on the euthanasia list. Such a great dog deserved his opportunity to share his joy with the world and so we gave Buster his big break. He headed to our rescue ranch in Tehachapi and has never looked back.

Buster hit the ground running making new friends and enjoying all the wide open spaces for play and connection. We discovered he loves games of fetch and each and every bit of his very large 84lbs is 100% sweet and affectionate. He’s a really great dog so very happy to be alive and we are here to make sure he has an amazing life worth living. Ranch staff are working on some basic obedience skills and manners and this big boy is more than ready to find his perfect home.
