Hi, I’m Piper! I just turned 1 year old and weigh about 70 pounds of pure love, brains, and fun. I’m a unique blend of American Staffordshire Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, American Bully, and a mix of other awesome breeds — think of me as the limited-edition model of the perfect adventure companion.
Raised in a home, not a kennel, I’m already housebroken, crate trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and on flea/heartworm prevention. I know all the basics — sit, down, stay, touch, and look — and I have great recall. I’m smart, food-motivated, and always excited to learn more.

Legacy Paws was born out of a deep passion for the dogs who are often overlooked—the ones with a little gray on their muzzle, a disability, or a difficult past. We saw a need for a safe haven where these deserving animals could decompress, receive proper medical care, and learn to trust humans again. We are not just a shelter; we are a sanctuary where a dog’s past doesn’t define their future.

We've created a unique space where our rescues can thrive, a sanctuary for both animals and the people who love them. We have a peaceful "sanctuary side" for people and pets who need to decompress and reconnect with nature. For our more active residents, there's a "fun side" with off-road trails and a creek. Our sanctuary also features a serene "Rainbow Bridge Island," a special place for our hospice dogs and a memorial to those who have crossed over. This unique setting allows us to provide a loving environment for every dog, regardless of their health or age, while also honoring their memory.
