My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hannah! 🐾❤️

Hannah is a gorgeous 60 lb terrier mix with the sweetest eyes, a gentle spirit, and a heart overflowing with love. This beautiful girl is such a joy—soft, affectionate, and so eager to bond with her people. She’s wonderful with cats and loves having calm, steady companionship in her life.

Hannah can be sensitive, and the world can feel a little overwhelming for her at times, so she’s looking for a very specific kind of home to help her feel safe and confident. She needs a quiet, adults-only home—NO kids and NO apartments—where she can decompress, settle in, and truly thrive. She blossoms with routine, patience, and understanding, and she’ll reward that kindness with loyalty and love.

Because she gets attached to her people and does best with slow, thoughtful introductions, she must meet everyone in the household before adoption to make sure it’s the perfect fit for her comfort and happiness.

If you’re searching for a tender-hearted, loving companion who will adore you with her whole soul, Hannah is ready to meet you. She just needs the right match—a calm, committed home where she can finally relax and feel safe forever. 🐾

More about this shelter

The Gulf Coast Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to serving the animals and community of Southwest Florida. We receive no federal, state, or county funding, nor do we receive financial support from the Humane Society of the United States. Instead, our lifesaving work is made possible through the generosity of individual donations, grants, bequests, and community fundraising efforts.

As a no kill shelter, Gulf Coast Humane Society is committed to providing compassionate care for unwanted, neglected, and abandoned animals. We never euthanize due to space constraints or the length of time an animal has been in our care. Our mission is to give every animal the second chance they deserve in a safe and loving environment.
