**I am located in Georgia, but I can be transported north to you!**
*I am a bonded pair with Winston*
Name: Remy
Breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Mix
Sex/Age/Weight: Male/ estimated DOB 08/2020 / 22 lbs
Vetting: Fully vetted, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Is receiving flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention monthly.
House trained/Crate Trained: He does very well left loose in the house. He is excellent in a crate, sometimes he just likes to be in there. He has slept loose in the house with no issues. Remy uses a dog door with no problem. He has not had any accidents in the house.
Dogs/Cats/Children: Remy was raised with his sibling, Winston. They were both previous shelter dogs. They have been together since 2021. Remy is a super-friendly boy. Good with smaller and larger dogs. When he lived with the previous owner they had cats and he was good with them. He had a human sister and brother, they were young, and he did very well with them.
Energy Level: Basically he is low to med energy– Remy likes to play, he is the one who instigates play. He also, like Winston, loves the attention of his people. If snuggling were a sport he would win hands down.
Before FAR/My History: My mom adopted my brother Winston and me from a shelter in Alabama 4 years ago. We get along great but we are not what you would call bonded. When our mom was leaving the country, she could not take us. My foster mom took Winston and I went to a different family, but that didn't work out for them. They did reach out to my foster mom who said she would take me and I was so happy. I love having Winston around. If you could love 2 of us that would be a plus. I feel that Winston will adapt better if he has Remy around.
Training Status/Commands I know: I absolutely love to run outside and sniff the world. I'm not too good at recall, I just like to run.
Working on: We are working on walking on a leash. He knows sit and stay.
Things I like: Snuggling with my foster mom and dad. Lying in the sun on a beautiful day. Loves taking walks.
Things I don’t like: I'm not sure there is anything I don't like.
Things that make my humans happy: When I am snuggling with my foster mom! I just want love and want to be around my people all the time!
Ideal Family/Home: Remy is a low-to medium energy boy, he has the zoomies and plays with Winston but certainly loves his naps. His perfect family would be a mix of some play and rest time. He, like Winston, loves family time with loves snuggles and taking walks.

Our adoption process starts with the potential adopter filling out an adoption application. In the application, you can specify a particular dog in which you are interested, or let us know what type of pet in which you are looking, so we can find the perfect animal to fit your family and your needs. Once the application is received, a board member will review the application, and make contact with the potential adopter within 48 hours. This initial contact may include further questions/more information, or may include scheduling a meet and greet for you to meet the animal in which you are interested! Once the application is approved or the meet and greet goes well, then the adoption can be finalized. To finalize the adoption, an adoption agreement must be completed, the adoption fee paid (we accept cash, paypal, or credit/debit card), and then the potential adopter can take their new family member home with them or schedule pick up of their furry family member! The adoption fee varies based on the animal. Some of our animals have the fees listed in their individual post but if you do not see one then please feel free to contact us and we would be happy to let you know the cost to adopt a particular pet. If you are interested in any of our animals, please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have!!

More about this rescue
Furever After Rescue, a 501(c)(3) organization, is a no-kill, foster-based rescue devoted to finding homes for animals needing a loving home. Most of our animals come from local, high-kill shelters with some occasionally coming from bad situations and owner surrender. Our animals are immediately placed in foster homes where they learn love and are taught how to live in a home environment. All of our animals are up-to-date on their age-appropriate vetting needs and are tested for personality traits as best as possible. We have many wonderful pets looking for forever homes!
We are currently based out of Macon, GA but partner with a quality private transport group that helps us get our furbabies to homes up and down the east coast so don't let distance deter you from contacting us about one of our furry friends!
