Meet Bubba, a young, sweet, and energetic dog who loves to play and enjoys the company of people. Bubba was a stray, found on a dirt road in south Mississippi. Poor Bubba had a skin infection on intake and needed our help! After weekly baths and plenty of hugs and kisses, Bubba is now ready to find his forever home. His lively spirit and affectionate nature make him a delightful companion. While he's generally easygoing, Bubba does have a protective streak when it comes to his food, so he might do best in a home where his meals can be enjoyed without interruption. Bubba is looking for a loving home where he can thrive and share his boundless energy and joy. He would be a wonderful addition to any family seeking a loyal and spirited friend.

More about this shelter
The Stone County SPCA was organized in 2009 and opened a shelter in 2012 in Wiggins, MS. We have always been a no kill shelter. Our biggest challenge is the high demand to place dogs and cats in our shelter. Currently, we take in approximately 1200 animals annually. We do not euthanize animals for lack of space. We have a live release rate of 95%. We do this by keeping adoption fees low and transporting a large percentage of our animals (65% of our dogs and puppies).
