My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hamburger, fries and a coke is a trifecta of American food that’s fit for a 4th of July bash, a Tuesday night, or a gathering with friends anytime! Some things are just better together. Our sweet pup Burger is also looking for her perfect companion! Burger’s volunteer friends are so darn proud of the progress she’s made in the shelter; she came in very fearful, but with love and patience, is opening up and showing the goofy and sweet pup that she really is!

“Burger is an absolutely adorable tiny tot! She’s still a bit shy to get leashed up in her kennel, but she sure loves to go to the play yard where she can explore and run around with her kennelmate. When her kennelmate approaches for snuggles and pets, she does as well. She’s shy, but I’m usually able to get a couple chin skritches in. She’s more comfortable with touch in her kennel; she sits nicely to have her leash taken off and seems to enjoy gentle pets. She’s a sweet baby.”

“I walked Burger this morning. She was much improved over last week. She was easy to leash. Still nervous, but walked well. She was more relaxed as we sat down in the grass with some touch and pets. She had an easy return to kennel and was easy to unleash.”

Burger shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit and is looking for a patient family who will give her time to warm up and decompress from the stress of the shelter.

Good things often come in small packages, and Burger is definitely 100 pounds of love in a petite little package. Please ask to meet her today!
