Meet A Boy Named Sue – A Gentle Warrior with a Heart of Gold
A Boy Named Sue has a story of survival, strength, and second chances. After being abandoned and suffering a pelvic injury, this resilient boy never lost his gentle spirit or his capacity for love. Through it all, Sue has remained affectionate, trusting, and ready to give his whole heart to the right family.
Sue is a stunning medium-haired cat with a plush, silky coat and soulful eyes that seem to tell his story. Though he may be shy at first, once he feels safe, he blossoms into the sweetest companion—soaking up gentle pets, especially head scratches and chin rubs. When he leans into your hand or gazes at you with gratitude, you’ll know you’ve made a lifelong friend.
Sue is FIV-positive, but FIV is not a life sentence. With proper care, FIV+ cats can live long, happy lives—and Sue is living proof. He is FeLV-negative, enjoys mealtime, loves playtime, and thrives best in a calm, loving home. His past pelvic injury may give him a slightly different stride, but it doesn’t hold him back from seeking out affection or happily shadowing his favorite human.
Sue gets along well with other cats, dogs, and humans of all ages. What he’s really waiting for is a patient, compassionate adopter who will provide him with a safe indoor home, regular vet care, and—most importantly—endless love.
If you open your heart to A Boy Named Sue, you won’t just be adopting a cat—you’ll be gaining a loyal companion whose resilience and gratitude will fill your home with warmth.
We provide all initial wellness care, including vaccines, deworming, checking for mites etc., for each kitten and cat under our care. All cats and kittens available for adotpion have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, and given a rabies vaccine. Our adoption fees also cover lifetime microchip resgistration. To apply to adopt, please visit our website www.fcocinc.org and click "Adopt" under the cat you're interested in.
