Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Luna – Your Loyal, Loving Snugglebug!
Hi, I’m Luna! I’m a playful, happy girl with a heart full of love and a serious soft spot for Nylabones—they’re my absolute favorite chew toy! When I’m not gnawing away, you’ll usually find me curled up for a nap (and yes, I do snore… it’s part of my charm!).
I love meeting new people and soaking up all the pets and cuddles I can get. In fact, cuddling is kind of my superpower. I could happily stare into your eyes all day and just be near you—it’s my favorite way to spend time. 🥰
Some of my best qualities:
🐕 I’m crate trained and know all my basic commands: sit, lay down, heel, come, and place—I’ve even had professional obedience training!
🦮 I walk beautifully on a leash and truly enjoy my daily strolls.
🚗 Car rides? I’m your girl! I’ll just curl up and nap the whole way.
🛏️ I’m calm in the house and love my routines.
💖 I bond deeply with my people and would thrive as the only dog in a home where I can be your one and only.
🩺 Health Update:
I tested heartworm positive (HW+), but don’t worry—I’ve already received treatment and am doing great! I’ll be tested again at the end of the year to confirm I’m all clear. Heartworm is not contagious to other pets or people, and I’m on monthly preventatives now to stay protected.
With a little continued care, I’ll be good as new!
If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal, and well-mannered pup who’s equal parts cuddlebug and walking buddy, I just might be your perfect match. I can’t wait to find a forever family who will love me for all my quirks and shower me with the affection I live for.
Let’s meet soon—my tail’s already wagging just thinking about it!
Luna is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.

Adopting from The Love Pit means gaining a family member. It means gaining a network of pit bull advocates, ready to support you and provide you with all of the resources we can. Most importantly, adopting from The Love Pit saves lives. When you adopt, you're saving the life of your own dog, opening space in their foster home for another shelter dog in need, and creating space in the shelter kennel for a dog whose life would have otherwise been on the line. Your thanks for all the good you've done? Lots of love and pit bull kisses to enjoy for years to come.
