**Aster – Cavalier/Poodle Mix Puppy**

Meet Aster! This adorable 4-month-old Cavalier/Poodle mix looks more like a Cavalier and has the personality to match. Aster was born in a puppy mill, but you’d never know it — he is a happy, loving little guy who is soaking up all the good things about life in a home.
Aster is pretty easy-going, loves to be near his people, and is as sweet as they come. His foster family says he settled in from day one, was thrilled to meet his two foster fur sisters, and quickly found the tennis ball to start a game. He loves to play, gives plenty of kisses, eats well, and sleeps peacefully in his crate next to the bed at night.
This boy is continuing to charm his foster parents with his playful spirit and loving nature — he is generally a happy, go-with-the-flow kind of guy who just wants to be near his people and enjoy life. **Because Aster is so playful and social, preference will be given to families with children or a playful young dog to be his companion.**
Aster is **current on vaccines, microchipped, and on monthly flea and heartworm prevention.** Because of his young age, he is not yet neutered. He will go home with a neuter contract, and Leia’s Hope will cover a portion of the procedure when he is 6 months old.
**Adoption Fee:** \$550
We are a volunteer-run rescue, and applications take **7–10 business days** to process. Meet-and-greets are only scheduled with an approved application, and adopters must travel to Decatur, IL, for both the meet-and-greet and the adoption. All family members — including resident dogs — must be present for the meet-and-greet.
Puppies are a **lifetime commitment**. Adopters must be prepared to care for Aster for his entire life, and he may not be given away or rehomed.
