My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Such beautiful brown eyes! Neutron is estimated to be about 3 years old and weighs 48 pounds.

The rescue is getting an early start for the holidays, and Neutron is here for it! This big, sweet teddy bear was so cute, he was a little afraid of the sleigh bed, so he needed a little cuddle time first to get used to that big scary thing in the room. We are so proud of him, after some pictures on the couch where it was safe, we got him to sit in front of the bed and then we were finally able to coax him into to it, what a brave boy. He got so many kisses and lots of praise, you could tell he was so pleased with himself, it really was the sweetest thing ever.

Meet Neutron, a sweet and gentle boy who is searching for his forever home! This timid guy is a true gentleman – he takes treats ever so gently and just loves it when you rub his head softly. Neutron is a snuggle bug at heart; he adores resting his giant, kind head on you and soaking up all the love and attention you can give. He's super affectionate and just wants someone to rely on and look up to. Neutron is a big baby who absolutely needs a leader to help guide him through life and build his confidence and someone to be his advocate. He can be a little scared at times and tends to cower, so he needs an owner who can dedicate the time and patience to help him overcome his fears and flourish. The poor muffin also has a lot of marks on his face, so we are guessing he may have had some dog/dog trauma in the past. Neutron is a gentle soul who just wants to be loved and cared for, and with the right person by his side, he will thrive. Please come and meet him and take the first steps towards giving this sweet boy the happy life he deserves. He will need a home where any children are at least 13 years old with his timid nature.

If you are interested in Neutron and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!

*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
