My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lois!

While some kittens are loud and boisterous, Lois is a master of the "quiet life." She is a delicate, soulful girl who prefers to observe the world from a cozy corner before deciding it’s safe to join the fun. If you have a soft spot for the underdog (or under-cat!) and a patient heart, Lois is waiting to meet you.

Lois may be shy at first, but don't let that fool you—she has a world of love tucked away. She isn't the type to jump into a stranger's arms; it takes a little bit to make it into her heart. Once she knows she can trust you, her true personality emerges: a sweet, steady companion who finds comfort in the presence of her people.
- The Power of "Soft Play": Lois isn't a fan of loud noises or chaotic games. She prefers "quiet play"—batting at a soft plush mouse or watching a feather wand with focused, curious eyes.
- Kitten Friendships: Interestingly, Lois finds a lot of her confidence through other cats! She loves to snuggle with her fellow kittens, using them as a "bravery boost" when she's feeling unsure.
- The Reward of Trust: There is nothing quite like the feeling of a shy kitten choosing you. When Lois finally decides to climb into your lap or purr at your touch, you’ll know you’ve earned something truly special.

To help Lois become the best version of herself, she’s looking for a specific kind of family that offers:

1. A Patient Environment: A quiet home without too much hustle and bustle would be her sanctuary.
2. The "Slow Approach": Adopters who understand that friendship takes time will find Lois to be a loyal, loving friend for life.
3. A Feline Guide: Because she loves other kittens so much, Lois would do wonderfully in a home with another confident cat to show her the ropes and give her someone to snuggle with.

Staff Note: "Watching Lois come out of her shell is the highlight of our day. She’s a gentle soul who just needs a little extra time and a lot of love to show the world how bright she can shine."

Lois is spayed, up-to-date on her FVRCP and Rabies vaccines and is FIV and FeLV negative.

Lois currently staying at our Heartland Facility! We are open Thursday 4pm-7pm, Friday 4pm-7pm, Saturday Noon-6pm and Sunday Noon-6pm. Feel free to stop by to meet her! No appointment necessary.
