My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peanut is a sweet, gentle pup who arrived at the shelter with her six siblings who all needed immediate rescue. Now, she and her brother, Walnut, are the last two waiting for their forever homes. Peanut loves being outdoors, where her personality really shines, and she’s already well on her way to being fully potty-trained. She’s dog-friendly with a soft, dainty play style, so if you have a pup who could use a playmate, Peanut is a great candidate. Peanut also loves to play; she'll enthusiastically nuzzle her squeaky toys until they chirp back at her. Not only is she playful, but Peanut also loves affection! When she is with people she trusts, she happily leans in for pets and kisses. This gentle girl can’t wait to find a patient, loving family to call her own. Could you be the one Peanut has been waiting for?

Go meet their pets

We’re so excited that you’re considering adopting from Nashville Humane Association. We’re located at 213 Oceola Ave in West Nashville, near the intersection of White Bridge Road and Charlotte Pike, and are open from 10AM until 5PM TUE through SUN (closed Mondays). We’re also closed from 12-1PM for “Quiet Hour.” As a quick heads up, our adoption process takes about an hour, and all adoptions must be finalized on-site at the shelter, so if you’re planning to visit and adopt, be sure to make accommodations for time.
