My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

siamese mix

Meet Pearl – A Spunky Survivor Ready for Her Forever Home

Pearl is a 1-year-old Siamese mix who was rescued from the same gas station as her buddies Jessie (also available) and Cubbie. Her journey hasn’t been easy—her first year of life was spent surviving at a gas station, then after a routine spay, she faced serious complications that temporarily left her with neurological challenges. But now? Pearl has fully recovered, is gaining weight, thriving, and absolutely ready for her forever family.

And what a little character she is.

Pearl has that classic Siamese spark: bold, funny, talkative, and full of personality. She zooms around the house chasing her ball like a dog, investigates every nook and cranny, and turns even the simplest moment into an adventure. She’s affectionate in her own charming way—head-butting her foster’s face for attention, leaning into pets, and seeking out playtime constantly.

She isn’t always the best fit for small children, as she tends to be underfoot and gives enthusiastic play bites when she’s in zoomy, pouncy mode. But for an adopter who appreciates a spirited, curious, hilarious little companion, Pearl is pure joy.

Pearl does not need to be adopted with her buddy Jessie, but he is also available—and the two can absolutely thrive together if someone wants a dynamic duo.

After everything she’s overcome, Pearl is ready not just to survive, but to shine. All she needs now is a home that loves her spunk as much as her sweetness.

We are 100% volunteer/foster based, so we do ask that you complete an adoption application in order for us to schedule a phone interview.

2.

After reviewing your application, we'll contact you to determine if dog is a good fit for your lifestyle and home.

3.

Approve Application

We check vet and personal references to ensure previous dogs were well cared for, so please be thorough in providing this info.

4.

Home Check

This enables the dog to get to know you and your home and for us to suggest anything they may need to be successful in your home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

You would also pay the fee at this time, however, we offer a 2 week trial period before cashing your check. We will always take dogs back.

Additional adoption info

You will be asked to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/dh-adoption) and allow a home visit to ensure the pet is a good fit for your home/lifestyle.

We are primarily a placement service, so the adoption fees vary depending on each pet and what caretakers have invested medically and behaviorally to ensure they are adoption-ready.

Go meet their pets

Doggie Harmony does not hold regular adoption events, but follow our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/doggieharmony) for special events. We also encourage you to contact us about pets you may be interested in, as we are always willing to bring them to meet you.

We do not have a shelter, so please understand that we are only able to support animals with foster homes or donations toward short-term boarding.

More about this rescue

Doggie Harmony is a metro-Atlanta dog rescue group focused on finding the right homes for dogs in foster care or belonging to owners who wish to re-home them. Our core objective is to place these dogs before they are turned over to animal control facilities, where they may be euthanized. Lastly, Doggie Harmony supports spay/neuter, wellness, and training to help keep or place dogs. This includes helping people find low cost resources and/or lending financial support where there's a qualified need.
