Ello there, good ladies and gents — name’s Charles, though you may call me Charlie (once I’ve granted permission, of course).
I’m what one might call a distinguished chap — a dashing old boy with a grin so charming it could talk its way into Buckingham Palace. I get on splendidly with dogs, cats, and well-mannered humans. That said, I do enjoy a bit of peace and quiet. If there are small humans about, I’d be most obliged if they could keep their voices to a dull roar during my afternoon nap. At this age, one must maintain one’s beauty sleep, you know!
Now, let’s be clear: I’m not the sporting type. No rugby, no marathons, and definitely no chasing after tennis balls (good heavens, no). My ideal day consists of a gentle stroll around the local pond, a hearty sniff of the shrubbery, followed by a luxurious snooze in my favourite bed. Perfection.
I’m rather independent, if I do say so myself. No need for constant cuddles or baby talk. A polite pat on the back, a scratch of the chin and a biscuit will do nicely, thank you. I’ll accept your affection graciously, of course, provided we both remember our manners.
Oh, and dinner — my word, how I love dinner. The fresher, the better. Keeps the old coat shiny and the tummy content.
Like my royal namesake, King Charles, I’m an older gentleman who wants to live my golden years wearing a crown and doing what I want to do like snoozing wherever I please, and expecting to be adored (within reason). I’m loyal, loving, and just the right amount of cheeky.
If you’re seeking a proper companion with a twinkle in his eye and impeccable taste in naps, I’m your bloke.
Yours truly,
Charles
