My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Grizzly - the sweetest snuggle‑loving queen around!

Grizzly is a gentle, joyful girl who's ready to fill someone's life with warmth, playfulness, and endless affection. She adores her humans and would happily spend her days snuggled up beside you, going for walks, or enjoying a tasty treat (or two... or three). If coziness were a sport, Grizzly would take home the gold.

This lovely lady prefers to be the star of the show, so she's looking for a home where she can be the only dog. She's not interested in sharing her humans - and honestly, once you meet her, you won't want to share her either.

Grizzly is also a fantastic travel buddy. She rides beautifully in the car and is always excited for an outing, whether it's a neighborhood stroll or a comfy adventure to her favorite cozy spot. She loves to play, loves to eat, and loves to be close to her people.

If you're searching for a loyal companion who brings sweetness, fun, and a whole lot of heart, Grizzly is ready to be your girl. She can't wait to find her forever home where she'll be cherished - and where she can snuggle to her heart's content.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
