Canine Clip: Lucy was trapped as a stray by Jeff’s Way Home & was then surrendered by her owner. While she enjoys walks she isn’t overly active and is happy to spend the say cuddling with the occasional walk. She would do great with another dog, she’s good with cats but curious. She enjoys learning new things and she is very smart. She would also love a super comfortable couch!
Personality: She is a sweetheart with the happiest wagging tail and a heart full of love! She quickly bonds with her humans. Lucy LOVES belly rubs and daily walks. We are still building her confidence but she loves lounging on the couch. She is fully house trained.
Dream Lifestyle: Lucy would love someone who has time for a little play and training, she is very intelligent and a fast learner. She would like a yard but she could also be a great apartment dog too. Lovely Lucy isn't very active so she would not make a good running buddy- its just not her thing!
Other Pets: She would be happy to share a home and human with other dogs (any size) or as an only pet to soak up all the attention! She is good with cats, but she is curious about them- she has never chased or harmed one.

All dogs have had a health exam
All dogs have regular flea/tick treatment & heart worm prevention
All dogs are microchipped
Puppies (8wks - 1yr) are required to have a vet appointment for spay/neuter set up before you take them home, this is to be confirmed by your vet.
All adult/senior dogs (2yrs+) have a two week adoption trial period, if it doesn't work out within the first two weeks the dog will come back to Isla's Journey and the adoption fee will be refunded.
All dogs are spayed/neutered at appropriate age

We work to trap strays and try to reunite them with their owners, they have a 5 day hold in a foster home. If they aren’t reclaimed they will then have a health exam, proper vaccines, a microchip, and will be spayed/neutered if they weren’t upon intake. They will then live in a foster home until adopted into a furever home!
We strive to educate the community on responsible pet ownership and breed awareness. Lost dog prevention is just another topic we are passionate about. We want all dogs to be in a safe and loving home.
