My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dylan is a lovely buff colored kitten who is learning to trust people. He initially is very loving with some folks, but still stand-offish with others. He may need time to learn to trust you. He is a somewhat independent kitten by nature...not the type to get underfoot, But Dylan has learned to appreciate petting. He is quite playful...he loves to chase wand toys, and gets along with other cats and kittens. But he would also do well as a single kitten.

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. You can also contact us directly regarding a pet seen here and we will set up a time for you to meet them in person. Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
