My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Milo is a handsome, all black fellow, who took a long time in deciding that people were his friends. But now that he has, he craves petting, and encourages folks to interact with him. At six months old, Milo is a very playful boy. He loves to chase wand toys, and will jump high to get the toy on the end. He gets along well with other kittens. Nighttime will find him on your bed, ready for some loving attention.

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. Heartland Small Animal Rescue is a non-profit serving South Bend & surrounding cities. We are comprised of a group of dedicated volunteers who work to find loving homes for homeless pets in our area.

Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
