Apple Cider is a Shepherd mix puppy who was born around July 5, 2025, and currently weighs 23.4 pounds. She’s the shyest of her litter and tends to hang back at first, but once she feels safe, her sweet and gentle personality shines through. Apple Cider leans on other dogs in the home for comfort and confidence, so she would do especially well with another friendly dog to help her settle in and feel secure.
She’s growing up in a foster home with little kids and loves being part of the family routine. Around new people or in new places, Apple Cider can be observant and a bit hesitant, but it doesn’t take long before she’s wagging her tail and joining in on the fun. She doesn’t like to be lonely, so having companionship—whether it’s human or canine—means the world to her.
Apple Cider is a smart girl who learns quickly and wants to please. She’s still a young puppy, so she’s working on her potty training, but with consistency and patience she’ll have it down in no time. She’s a wonderful mix of playful and cuddly—she loves squeaky toys, chew bones, and belly rubs, and she’s just as happy to curl up beside you for some quiet time when she’s worn out. She enjoys splashing in her water bowl, wrestling with her dog friends, and staying right by her people’s side as much as she can.
She’s been learning well in her foster home, growing more confident every day, and is sure to blossom into a loyal and loving companion with continued patience and encouragement. Her minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
