Meet Shira! This pretty mama came to us with her two sons as strays. We aren't sure how this furry family ended up on the streets, but Shira is ready for the next chapter of her life! It seems Shira has been used for litter after litter, and she is ready for a fresh start learning how to be a normal dog instead of a mom. She is a playful girl and loves being outside! She's still learning how toys work, and seems to prefer rocks and sticks over stuffies. Shira does well with other dogs. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Shira home. OUR MISSION: It is the mission of the Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center & Shelter to provide an environment of continuous improvement; emphasizing excellent service and safety for the community; providing the dogs and people of Fairfield County protection, care, and compassion with innovative, yet sustainable means; all while maintaining a standard of the utmost integrity.
It is the purpose of the Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center and Shelter to embrace the dogs of the community; to keep lost or adoptable dogs safe until they can find their way home; to protect Fairfield County through the enforcement of Section 955 of the Ohio Revised Code , and to continue to provide the community with education opportunities on the importance of pet safety and population control.
