Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Fossil originally came to CVHS with his canine family when his owner was moving and unable to take them along, he was adopted into a loving home, but after two months it was clear that he cannot live with cats.
He is crate trained, and loves a good dog toy. He is familiar with children and dogs, and was good with them in his prior home. He cannot live with cats, or other small animals. Fossil does need an adopter who can continue working with him, keeping his brain in his head, as his nose can take him on an adventure. He is getting familiar with a harness here to help with his leash walking skills. His genetic make-up comes from a Beagle and a Yorkie, and he carries traits of both those breeds.
Fossil is can be vocal and loud, especially when not getting the attention he thinks he deserves, so he needs a home that is not an apartment, or close to other homes.
A 5-week Good Manners training course is included in Fossil`s $350.00 adoption fee. Please call the Adoption Center at 802-476-3811, or email info@centralvermonthumane.org, to schedule a time to talk to an adoption counselor about him, and to determine if you should meet Fossil.
