Journey is a young Poodle mix whose heart belongs completely to his person. He is deeply loyal and affectionate once he bonds, and he’s looking for a one-person, adult-only home with another dog/dog(s) and with someone experienced in working with dogs who need guidance and clear boundaries.
Journey has a strong “stranger danger” instinct and is very fearful of unfamiliar people. He takes time to adjust and will need a home with very few visitors. When guests do arrive, he should be safely separated in another room or his kennel.
He is extremely entertaining and does laps around the living room. He will make you laugh.
He’s kennel trained, potty trained (with occasional adjustment accidents), and learning leash skills. With patience, consistency, and confidence-building training, Journey will thrive and become a devoted, joyful companion who rewards your trust with unwavering affection. 💕

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.
Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.
Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.
Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
