Meet the Pet
This helps Feline Canopy of Care, Inc. with pet care costs.
Stewie may not have been his first name, but he certainly knows it now — and responds to it with those soft, soulful eyes.
Meet Stewie, a gorgeous long white male with small tabby spots who was heartbreakingly dumped into a feral colony. All he wanted was to stay close to the feeder, quietly hoping for kindness. When the feeder realized he didn’t belong outside, our rescue was contacted so this gentle boy could have a second chance.
We don’t know what Stewie’s life looked like before, but there’s a sense he may not have always been treated kindly. He’s very timid when you reach to rub his head — he will allow it, but it must be gentle and slow. Patience is key with this sweet soul. If you really want to get his “motor” running, though, he absolutely melts for ear rubs and good bottom scratches!
Despite his long, big frame, Stewie is a submissive cat at heart and does best in a calm, respectful environment where he doesn’t feel the need to compete. He isn’t a lap kitty, but he happily sleeps on the bed with you, enjoys running and playing with his feline friends, and finds pure joy in gazing out the window at the birds and ducks that visit his foster mom’s backyard.
Stewie is a quiet companion — a gentle presence who doesn’t demand attention but deeply appreciates kindness. In the right home, with patience and understanding, this beautiful boy will continue to blossom and feel safe being exactly who he is.
We provide all initial wellness care, including vaccines, deworming, checking for mites etc., for each kitten and cat under our care. All cats and kittens available for adoption have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, combo tested and given a rabies vaccine. Our adoption fees also cover lifetime microchip registration. To apply to adopt, please visit our website www.fcocinc.org and click "Adopt" under the cat you're interested in.
