My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Merry Brandybuck was brought in by her previous owner on May 8, 2025.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Merry Brandybuck! Merry Brandybuck shares her home with her sisters, Pippin Took #950909 and Samwise #950908 and they are looking to be adopted together! Don't let the tiny paws fool you - Merry Brandybuck is a big personality in a compact, squeaky package. She's a connoisseur of crisp dark leafy veggies, a timothy hay enthusiast and insists on her daily vitamin C like the tiny health guru she is. Merry Brandybuck dreams of a spacious palace where she and her friends can zoom about, strike majestic poses and work on their cardio between snack sessions. In return, she offers soft wheeks, curious stares and the kind of charm usually reserved for British period dramas. So put down that flimsy cardboard box and pick up a secure carrier - Merry Brandybuck is ready to bring some squeaky joy and piggy prestige into your life!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
