My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Autumn
Autumn’s story is a heartbreaking one. She and her brother were dumped as tiny puppies in Hockley and left to survive on their own. They made a home in a cornfield, sadly her brother didn’t make it, and Autumn herself was even shot. With little human kindness shown to her, Autumn grew up feral, wary of people, and surviving the only way she knew how.

But Autumn is a fighter. After being rescued, she has blossomed into a beautiful girl who is slowly learning that not all humans are bad. With a year of love, patience, and stability, she has gone from hiding in her crate to choosing to relax in the same room with her foster—a huge victory for this once-forgotten pup.

About Autumn
Age: ~2.5 years old
Weight: ~50 lbs
Breed Guess: German Shepherd mix
Training: Crate and potty trained

Autumn absolutely adores other dogs and needs a confident canine companion in her new home. She loves to initiate play and also enjoys a good cuddle session with her dog friends. Toys are her treasure—she keeps a rotating “collection” of favorite bones and plush toys in her crate, proudly switching them out. She’ll happily toss a ball for herself, chase butterflies, or just chew on a favorite toy.

Autumn is still learning how to trust people fully. Some days, she needs gentle encouragement to push past her comfort zone. But she has never once shown aggression, her body language is soft, her spirit is kind, and her willingness to learn makes her a joy to work with.

With time, patience, and consistency, Autumn is ready to keep growing in a forever home of her own. She will thrive with:
A confident, dog-friendly companion
A calm, patient family
A safe space where she can continue her journey from survivor to beloved family dog

Autumn has already overcome so much. Now she’s ready for her next chapter, could it be with you? Autumn is available locally for a foster to adopt situation as she is still a work in progress and we are here to support her journey.

Additional adoption info

We are extremely thorough with our adoption process. Our goal is to find the best fit for our dogs. We reserve the right to deny anyone a dog if we feel the applicant is not qualified or is not a good fit for the dog at our discretion. We require two personal references that we call to check character and get a recommendation on why or why not the applicant is a good candidate. Also, we call the vet reference to be sure the applicants current dog is current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention. The home check is mandatory to be sure the applicant lives where they say they live and the pet will live in a safe environment.

More about this rescue

The Charity's specific purpose is to rescue lost or abandoned dogs from shelters, from the streets or from owners who are no longer able to care for them. Our goal is to prevent further euthanasia of these animals. All dogs receive medical care and behavioral training as needed to prepare them for a new home.
We do not have a facility.
All of our dogs are in foster homes.
The charity will also focus on efforts to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their animals to prevent the overpopulation of animals in Texas.
Our adoption fee is $300 which includes alteration, vaccines, microchip, training program in some cases & any medical treatments needed for each dog to be 100% healthy and successful in a home. Must have an approved application to set up a meet and greet.
