My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! Lil Richard here! I am a cute little terrier mix that is super-duper happy to be sitting at the shelter! I was picked up by one of the kind Humane Deputies! He was called to pick me up as I roamed around a neighborhood. I was never claimed by my family and I am now available for adoption. I have all of my vaccinations, I have a microchip, and I have been neutered. One little problem did show up on my health check up. It seems that I am heartworm positive. I am not worried! The shelter already has my first treatment set up and I can’t wait to get started!

Additional adoption info

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
