My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stephanie is a laid-back lady who’s the perfect mix of friendly and relaxed, with a little touch of hound charm! She might be a bit vocal when she’s looking for attention (we do love a dog who knows what she wants, right?), but that’s just part of her social butterfly personality. Whether you’re lounging at home or out on a walk, Stephanie’s ready to join in the fun with a wagging tail and a happy bounce.

Speaking of walks, if you’re looking for a great walking buddy, Stephanie is your girl! She’s amazing on the leash, making every walk feel like a breeze. And with her love for exploring, you’ll both have a blast together. She’s a natural when it comes to outings, just waiting for the next adventure.

She’s super gentle, affectionate, and loves being around people, making her the ideal companion for someone who’s ready to give her the attention she deserves. This lovable gal is also a huge fan of booty rubs – seriously, she’s OBSESSED. Stephanie will also play with soft squeaky toys and tennis balls! After a good play session she will settle in for a cozy nap at your feet.

She has potential with calm dogs and cats. Stephanie would also do best with kids who can respect her senior dog space and needs. With her easygoing vibe, loving nature, and passion for walks and booty rubs, Stephanie is just waiting for the right family to show her what forever feels like. Could that be you?

Additional adoption info

Dog Adoptions: $200
Cat Adoptions: $100

Please take a moment to review our Adoption Policy prior to applying to adopt a pet.

CHS accepts multiple applications on each animal, we are not first come first serve. Our team of adoption counselors will help matchmake every individual pet and family to ensure the best fit for all.

Must be 21 to adopt with a valid driver's license or state ID card.

We ask all members of the household to meet the new pet, some pets require multiple visits to build necessary relationships.

To align with our mission of solving the homeless pet crisis, all household pets must be spayed and neutered, up to date on necessary vaccinations, and live in the same household as the adopter. If not currently established with a veterinarian, a vet deposit will be required.

Cats and dogs adopted from CHS are indoor only.

Every pet is an individual, and many have individual needs such as : post adoption training (included with adoption), multiple meet and greets to feel comfortable, medical needs, etc. Our adoption counselors will communicate these needs with all interested families.

CHS will not begin adoption process with an individual when:

A person is reasonably believed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Landlord or residence does not allow pets, or the living situation does not accommodate consistency for the pet (e.g. student housing, four unrelated adults living together, ect.)

Applications may be denied for any reason, including but not limited to an individual failing to comply with conditions of past adoption.
