Animals story: (where found and reason for wanting to rehome):
These cats are strays who have been living at the Orlando Union Rescue Mission,some for years and some for months currently there is an issue with them pooping out side on property grounds which is problematic bcuz kids live at said shelter..I am a resident but I have been caring for and feeding them since coming to the shelter,they are people friendly however they need good homes...I am not in a position to adopt them but knowing that if they aren't they will be euthanized I'm fighting for their adoption or rehoming,I'm not asking for any money for them just that they go to a good home and be taken care of properly,alot of them would be great in calm environments,with elderly or as ESA animals...As a mother with an autistic child I can personally say they are good with children/adults with special needs

Personality (shy, social, likes to be held, lap cat? Likes or dislikes): Leo is the orangish brown cat,he loves humans,loves to sit in laps,is extremely playful,loves cat treats and loves his sleep,he talks when he knows it's feeding time - .
Leo does have both eyes but one squints some as it over produces mucus. But don’t worry- he is currently being treated for it!

Any Supplies that go with pet (food, litter, leash, cat box, bedding, toys): I don't have any current supplies as I can't afford them right now but when I do have money I buy Meow mix wet cat food for them to eat
What food is the cat eating (dry only, dry and wet): They eat both wet and dry food but prefer wet.

:::::::::::Please know that cats need canned wet food given DAILY. Why? Because cats have a low thirst drive and actually NEED the moisture from the wet food! Wet food is 75 % water (dry FOOD only 10%) and giving them wet food daily will help them avoid Urinary tract issues (which can lead to litter box avoidance), kidney disease, obesity issues linked to diabetes and cardiac issues. You will save on vet bills too! Limit the overly processed dry food and ensure cat eats all the wet food daily. At the VERY minimum each cat should get one 3oz. can of wet food a day or HALF of a 5.5oz. can a day (although we recommend double this).

*Please know, that when you bring your newly adopted cat or kitten home, it is always BEST to place him/her in a very small room (bathroom works great) with their litter box, food, water, and bed for a few days to a few weeks. This way the animal can adjust much quicker and get acclimated to the new environment with less stress. All cats/kittens need time to adjust, so if you adopt please allow this. Thank you.
