My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Blessing and I think that is a perfect name for me! I am a one-year-old terrier mix that was abandoned by my family! One day they just packed up their stuff and drove away from the house and never returned! Who does that?? Anyway our kind neighbors were aware of what happened and they began to bring me food each day. I was so thankful for their help. After three weeks the shelter was called. I have waited my allotted time and I am now ready to find a new family to love! I have all of my vaccinations, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. One little problem did show up on my health check up. I was heartworm positive, but here is the good news! I have already completed my heartworm treatment! This cute girl is ready to begin her new and healthy life!!

Additional adoption info

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
