Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I’m a high-energy, adventure-loving boy with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life! Whether it’s a game of tug, a round of fetch, or a good ol’ run through the trails, I’m all in. I’m looking for a best friend who’s just as active and outdoorsy as I am—someone who’ll take me on exciting adventures or maybe even try out some dog sports to keep my mind and body happy.
I'm a 6-year-old neutered male American Pit Bull Terrier with a solid training foundation thanks to my awesome foster at Oak Cliff Canine Academy. I get along great with people, including older kids, but I might be a bit too much for toddlers or seniors just because of my enthusiasm and energy.
I had a loving home until July, when my owner suddenly passed away. Since then, I’ve been in the care of my trainer, waiting for a second chance at forever. I may have had a rough patch, but I haven’t lost my spirit—or my smile.
Ready to bring home a loyal, fun-loving adventure buddy? I’m ready when you are.
Let’s make some memories together! 🐾
Smuggler is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.

Adopting from The Love Pit means gaining a family member. It means gaining a network of pit bull advocates, ready to support you and provide you with all of the resources we can. Most importantly, adopting from The Love Pit saves lives. When you adopt, you're saving the life of your own dog, opening space in their foster home for another shelter dog in need, and creating space in the shelter kennel for a dog whose life would have otherwise been on the line. Your thanks for all the good you've done? Lots of love and pit bull kisses to enjoy for years to come.
