My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Curious yet shy, Kumquat is a gentle boy who takes his time to trust, but once he does, he’s a playful delight. He loves waving his paws in the air when you play with toy wands with him, chasing the elusive red laser, and wrestling with his sister, Apple II. After playtime, you’ll find them napping together in a cozy heap. Kumquat is rather independent, but he loves to cuddle with people he knows. Adults only or with gentle kids over 12. No dogs. He would love to be adopted with Apple II if possible. They are buddies. His estimated date of birth is May 1, 2025. Kitty Bio # 237GC-Ku.

If you're interested in adopting Kumquat, Apple II, or another of our cats, please fill out our adoption questionnaire at icraeastbay.org/adopt/how-to/.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The goal of our adoption process is to place the right cat(s) with the right person. These are the steps:

  1. Pick out a cat or think about the qualities you want in a cat.

  2. Complete our adoption questionnaire.

  3. Meet the cat over a video call with the foster parent or in person to see if the cat is a good fit for your household.

  4. Meet with an adoption counselor over a video call for a virtual home visit to go over a safety checklist.

  5. We will bring the cat to your home to complete the adoption.
