Bull is a sweet, gentle boy with a soft heart and an easygoing nature. He loves his daily walks and absolutely delights in watching (and occasionally chasing!) rabbits and squirrels in the yard. Inside the home, he’s calm, quiet, and snuggly—he rarely barks and is happiest curled up in your lap or stretched out beside you on the couch.
Bull is fully potty trained and sleeps through the night in his kennel without a peep, making him a wonderful fit for apartment living or quieter households. He can be a little shy at first, but once he feels safe, his affectionate side shines.
He does well with children and currently has no experience with cats. With other dogs, he tends to be cautious and may thrive best as the only dog in the home. He seems to bond more quickly with women but will warm up to men with a little time and patience.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who adores snuggles and a peaceful routine, Bull might be your perfect match!
From the Vet:
Bull came into rescue with a few medical issues and needed some time in his foster home to blossom into a happy dog, ready to take on the next phase of life and find his forever home! When he first arrived in rescue, he had a nasty cough that slowly resolved on its own, but he was developing intermitent chronic episodes of vomiting or reguritation. Along with that our team noted that he had a mild (grade 4/6) heart murmur. With these compounding issues, Bull was sent to the U of M and started on a medication to help control the reguritation. In the past several months, Bull has kept those episodes under control, so we will plan to discontinue the medications and see if he remains stable. The murmur was evaluated by a cardiologist and the cause determined to be a very mild case of pulmonic stenosis; A condition where the pulmonic valve abnormally forms creating an obstructed blood flow from the heart to the lungs. Bull's condition is mild enough that they suspect he will live a full and normal quality of life. Adopters would be recommended to pursue a recheck echocardiogram in 2 years. Any other medical care after adoption would be the responsibility of his forever family!

More about this rescue
The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.
We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.
You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
