Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🎤Ok Party people in the house... I'm Doug e Fresh!!🥁 So listen close so you all don't miss... As we go a little something like this Hit it.... 🎵La-di-da-di, we like to party Me and my pals don't cause trouble, we don't bother nobody, (except chickens, skunks and cats) we're Just some dogs that's on the street, And when we rock up on the street -we rock the street Right! For all of y'all keeping y'all in health, I like my walks to enjoy myself But it's also cool to cause a COZY condition That we create, 'cause that's our mission ! 🎵So listen to what we say... Because this type of stuff it happens every day: I wake up around 8 o'clock in the morning, I give myself a stretch, and a morning yawning. Go to the playyard to wash up. Have puddles to hop to not get messed up and I said, "Um,puddle puddle, on the ground Who is the top dog all around?" There was a rumble jumble, five minutes it went... The puddle said, "You are, you handsome gent" Here's me: 🎤Young 🎤Athletic 🎤Handsome. 🎤Humble 🎤Fun loving 🎤Sweet 🎤Willing to cuddle.
⚠️Might need a minute, or so to win it. I Let's the ladies in charge take the lead. I'll admit I submit. My mom and my aunt they be driving the bus, I don't have time to fuss. I'm busy you see, just trying to learn what's expected of me. What's your preferred training methods? I haven't had much Kindness and such. I learning to be my bestest of self ... Come check me out I can't wait on this shelf. Every day that passes I get more distracted - hurry along this decision isn't wrong!! Adopt don't shop! The one and only Doug e Fresh!! 46 pounds. 🚫⚠️🟡Cats, Chickens, skunks may be too much for me to live with. 🐶🟡Came in with other dogs. Needs to build confidence with training. Meet and greets required for proper sibling placement. 👥 🟡Can be timid when first meeting people. Primary Color: Chocolate Merle Secondary Color: White Weight: 43.4 Age: 1yrs 2mths 2wks

There is a contract and all potential adopters meet with adoption counselor to talk about application and make sure pet is good fit with the person and family. More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Wicomico County was started in 1968 by a group of people who wanted to help improve the lives of animals. We have come a long way in our 40+ years! We have a staff dedicated to making sure the animals that come to our doors are loved and protected as they wait for their forever home. Not only are our animals vaccinated, wormed and given flea preventative, we can treat animals that come to us with mange, ringworm, heartworm and pay for animals to be seen by an outside vet should there be a need. We have an on-site spay/neuter clinic that not only is used for our animals but we also offer low cost spay/neuter for animals of the public. We provide emergency boarding for victims of domestic abuse, fire, and medical emergencies. We also have the capability to set up an off-site emergency shelter for people evacuated from their homes. In addition, we have an education program to help teach kids about being a responsible pet guardian. We work with a wide range of rescue groups and our animals have been transported from our mid-Atlantic area throughout the North Eastern United States. Our shelter is an open admission shelter and we will take in approximately 3500 animals this year. We do what we do because of our love for animals and our desire to make a difference in their lives every single day.
