My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🗿🐾 Meet Gargoyle – the sweetest “statue” you’ll ever meet!
At almost 2 years old and 46 lbs, this medium-sized cutie is all grown up… unless he finds the snack cabinet, then who knows. 😉

Gargoyle has already proven he’s a social butterfly:
✨ Great with kids
✨ Good with other dogs
✨ Loves making new friends (he used to roam the neighborhood looking for them!)

But those roaming days are behind him. Now neutered, microchipped, flea & tick treated, heartworm tested negative, and on prevention, Gargoyle is all set to trade his “wanderer” ways for a forever family who will keep him home where he belongs—loved, spoiled, and adored. 💕

This boy is funny, friendly, and ready to settle in. Adopt Gargoyle and let this charming “guardian” perch happily on your couch instead of your roof. 🛋️🐶

Gargoyle's adoption fee is $225. Gargoyle is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, tested negative for Lyme and Heartworm, and on heartworm prevention.

You can apply online for him at www.highlandhumanesociety.org OR stop in and see him sometime during open hours 12-5 pm Tuesday through Friday and 11-3 pm on Saturday.

We offer a weeklong foster to adopt program for any dog over 4 months old.

We do allow walk ins to meet animals they may want to adopt. We do not allow people to walk through the kennels we bring the animal to you.

Not all animals need an application but some may need one due to having special needs or not being spayed or neutered yet.

3.

Take the Pet Home

You can usually take a pet home same day on foster or adoption. Foster is for a week for compatibility. Not all animals qualify for foster

Additional adoption info

Once an animal is chosen, you will pay the adoption fee via cash or card. The card does charge a fee to use. If an animal is not spayed or neutered yet we will schedule it with one of our vets or you may schedule it at your own vet and receive a reimbursement of $100 for dogs and $60 for cats.
