My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🎀 Barbie — The “Barbie Girl” Come to Life! 🎀

🎶 “Life in the doggie world — it’s fantastic!” 🎶

Meet Barbie, our one-year-old Staffordshire Terrier sweetheart who’s ready to be your best friend and partner in fun! At just 34 lbs and shorter than your knee, she’s a real-life Barbie girl — cute, confident, and full of heart. 💕

Barbie is great with other dogs, adores people, and we’re sure she’ll think kids are “Ken”-tastic! She’s a bubbly, affectionate girl who greets you with a smile that could light up the room and a joyful little butt wiggle that says, “Come on, let’s go paw-ty!” 🐾💖

🦴 Barbie is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, flea & tick treated, on heartworm prevention, and tested negative for heartworm and Lyme.

🐕 Dogs - Yes!
🐈 Cats - No - seems like great things to chase
👩‍❤️‍👨Kids -Yes we think she'll be great with kids, please bring your kiddos to meet her!
🏠 House trained - keeps her inside kennel clean
🚶Walks -walks well on a leash, pulls some but could easily be trained not to.

If you’re ready for a world of love, laughter, and cuddles — hop in, adopter! 💕 This Barbie is ready to go home! 💅🐶

Barbie's adoption fee is $225.

Take advantage of our foster-to-adopt program, where you can take any dog 4 mos and older home for a week to make sure it is a good fit before committing to adoption.

You can apply on our website www.highlandhumanesociety.org OR stop into the shelter 12- 5 pm Tuesday through Friday or 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday to meet who is available at that time. Please arrive no later than 30 minutes before we close to ensure we have time to do the adoption.
