My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Perry may start off a little shy, but give him some time and you’ll see his silly, sweet side shine through. Once he knows you’re a friend, he’s all about tail wags, happy moments, and being the best buddy you could ask for. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick who just needs a little time to blossom, Perry is ready to win your heart!

***Perry has a discounted adoption fee to help them find their forever home! Please note that all applicants must still follow our standard adoption process and meet this pet’s specific requirements in order to be approved for adoption***

FOSTER AND FIELD TRIP INSIDER INFO: (please note that dogs may behave different in foster`s care than adopter`s care and the following cannot be guaranteed)

HOUSE TRAINING:
He was only with me for a short time on a field trip. He asked to go out to pee at my house. No accidents at the play area or inside my home.

CAR MANNERS:
I rented out an indoor play area at a pet resort. I knew the drive there will be tricky and a little longer due to the inclement weather but, in true Perry fashion, the journey with him was a delight. He excels at being an exemplary companion during car rides. He is the best dog I have had in my car when it comes to how he handles the journeys.

LEASH MANNERS / ON WALK MANNERS:
When we arrived at the private indoor play area that I rented, there were a few dogs in the private dog park that we had to walk past. Perry saw them. I fully expected him to stiffen, pull or bark or a combination, but we passed them without issues. Perry was alert but no reaction. I praised him a lot for that.

CRATE TRAINING:
Unknown at this time.

Additional adoption info

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your envirnoment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!
